About 230 people have earned an M.S. or Ph.D. in Molecular and Environmental Toxicology (formerly Environmental Toxicology) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Most of these professional toxicologists are employed in demanding jobs, as are most scientists. Their jobs are divided almost evenly, with one-third in each of academic, industrial and public sectors. That means alumni are involved in academic research and teaching, private industry, and government agencies, doing work that might determine the fate of a product or the health of thousands of human beings.
